Steps to Recovery – Lehigh Valley

1655 Valley Center Pkwy Suite 150, Bethlehem, PA 18017

Program Overview

Steps to Recovery is a premier substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorder outpatient center. For both substance use disorder and mental health clients, we will offer separate programs for each population. Our programs will include partial hospitalization treatment, intensive outpatient treatment  (day and night programs), and outpatient care, all with the support of a psychiatric provider, licensed clinicians, and experienced professionals. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options and psychiatric medication management will be offered at all care levels. Our programs are trauma-informed, individualized, and accredited by the Human Rights Campaign as a leader in providing LGBTQ+ services.

Payment Options

Steps to Recovery – Lehigh Valley is in-network with Mental Health Consultants and is currently working to grow our network of providers. We also can work with most major private insurance providers on an out-of-network basis, and we accept private pay.

Levels of Care and Our Approach

In a safe, caring, and compassionate environment, we offer two programs for mental health and substance abuse disorders. As part of our commitment to our clients, we provide them with the ideal backdrop and help them build the foundations for their long-term recovery.

At all levels of care, our Psychiatric Medical Team offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options and supports psychiatric medication management. As part of our Family Support Program, we also encourage and provide multiple opportunities for family therapy at all levels of care to assist loved ones of our current, past, or prospective clients.

Levels of Care

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) consists of small, intimate primary process groups, ACT, DBT, and CBT application groups, and mindfulness, nutrition, and relationship groups. PHP is offered from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday. Every PHP client has twice-weekly therapy sessions with a clinician to navigate their individual needs, as well as a weekly psychiatric evaluation and follow-up.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) involves intimate primary process groups, practical skill development, life skill application, and relapse prevention strategies. IOP services are available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, so clients can select the days and times that work best for them. During IOP, clients attend weekly therapy sessions with a clinician, as well as a psychiatric evaluation and a monthly follow-up.

Treatment Approach

Our programs emphasize authentic connections and individualized treatment, understanding that every individual’s journey is unique. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment so individuals can get the care they need to achieve their goals. With the help of our experienced team of professionals, we offer tailored treatment plans that address each client’s specific needs and goals. Our goal at Steps to Recovery – Lehigh Valley is to create a supportive community where our clients can establish meaningful relationships with their peers and treatment providers.
