Gregg Snook, MA
Clinician
Gregg is a clinician at Steps to Recovery, focusing primarily on StR’s Phase II outpatient program. Gregg holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Holy Family University; while there he also focused study on philosophy, natural science, and theology. His master’s degree is from La Salle University in Clinical Counseling Psychology. Gregg has worked in the field for the past 6 years, focusing on a variety of under serviced and high risk populations. Gregg’s approach to treatment revolves around the idea that an individual has the innate ability to adapt to situations in the best way possible. This “striving to survive” can be the vehicle to affect change when supported and guided by empathy, compassion and patience. When practicing, Gregg integrates aspects of human biology and psychological motivators to modalities such as psychodynamic, existential, cognitive behavioral, and person-centered approaches in order to highlight strengths and encourage positive action on the part of the client.
